We Love Olivia Palermo’s Eclectic Style

Today we’re featuring Olivia Palermo simply because we love this lady’s taste in fashion. We love how she mixes pieces together, always unexpected and yet always chic. The socialite and “The City” star was spotted at the front row of Tibi’s Spring 2011 presentation the other week looking like this:

What do you think? Don’t you just love her eclectic style? Who’d have thought that suede (boots), embroidery (navy dress), and a tan embossed croc (clutch) could look good together?

The dress is by Tibi and the boots are by Proenza Schouler. You can buy the dress at Shopbop and the boots from Zappos or MyTheresa. As for the purse, it’s an Hermes clutch; and we all know THAT one is not only hard to find but also very expensive, probably even more expensive than the dress and the shoes. If you can afford it, feel free to visit the Hermes boutique in your area.

Tibi Byzantine Embroidery Dress, US$690 (Shopbop); Proenza Schouler Suede Boots, US$799 (Zappos)

Or, you can simply just grab the look for a lot less with the following:

Gryphon Mercury Embroidered Silk Dress, US$234 (was US$390 at Norsdtrom); GUESS Owens Ankle Boots, US$139 (Endless)

And instead of a tan croc embossed clutch, go for a woven purse to achieve that texture. Try this one from Dan W:

Dan W Snake Print Woven Clutch, US$94 (was US$170 at Endless.com)

JADETribe Brigitte Messenger

Check out this seemingly eclectic and beautifully crafted Brigitte bag from JADETribe. Now wouldn’t you just love to own it? You don’t need to be a hippie to carry this purse. It’s a statement accessory on its own so wearing it with a simple outfit will do.

It is also very eco-friendly.  Everything is handmade, from the woven material of the bag to the decorations on it. Who’d have thought eco-bags can look this fantastic?  It simply looks very original and very authentic.

Up close, it’s easy to fall in love with this purse. Apart from its unique handwoven feature, you can see the interesting mix of elements – from the woven strap, to the colorfully embroidered body, to the unique patterns inspired from Moroccan and Indian prints.

If you like the Brigitte Messenger, it’s available at Shopbop for US$415. I know, it is a tad expensive. But you can wear it with lots of outfits so it will go a long way. Here are some ideas for you:

Roxy Solstice Dress, US$44; Steve Madden Sysco Sandals, US$49; Fox Lunar Shirtdress, US$54; Ariat Heritage Stockman Boots, US$153

(shoes and clothes are from Zappos)

Blake Lively Travels to Toronto in Style

You want to see how Blake Lively travels? Well, here’s how:

Blake Lively arriving in Toronto, Canada to promote her new movie, The Town, with Ben Afleck at the Toronto Film Festival, September 10

The Gossip Girl beauty travels in style. This picture just proves to us that you can look stylish and comfortable at the same time even when you’re traveling.

Doesn’t she look extra good? I love the pieces she put together. It’s sexy, it’s chic, and it’s easy. Of course, having mile long legs and a killer body helped in the “looking good” department, but the style is very achievable.

And check out her bag. That bag looks very interesting. It looks like it has woven panels on the center. Or are those whip stitch details? What do you think?

Blake’s oxfords are by Topshop, but I couldn’t find any information on her bag. Nonetheless, that shouldn’t stop us from trying to grab her chic en-route to Toronto style. To look like Blake, grab the Aurielle-Carryland Large Weave Work Shoulder Bag and pair it with these:

Aurielle-Carryland Large Weave Work Shoulder Bag, US$45 from Ebags.com

Kangol 2 Tone Hat, US$56; Michael Michael Kors Missy Trench, US$147; Michael Stars Short Sleeve Tee, US$44; 7 For All Mankind Legging Jeans, US$148; BC Footwear First Lady Oxfords, US$60; Fossil Flower Power Clear Drop Necklace, US$34; Roxy Bardot Belt, US$34

You can shop for these pieces from Zappos.
