The Prada Fall Winter 2011 collection is now available in Saks Fifth Avenue. Included in the collection are the Prada Madras purses that are coveted by celebrities and bag lovers.
Earlier this month, Nicole Kidman was photoraphed arriving in Los Angeles with the orange and black version of the purse:

We love the shape of Nicole’s purse but we prefer the dark brown version which is currently available on pre-order status in Saks Fifth Avenue:

The Madras bag is also available in shoulder bag and tote versions:

The bag is made of goat leather and is hand-woven in India. The bags are lined with suede and have protective metal feet. All the bags also have snap closures which provides protection for your belongings.

Here at Woven Purses, we like to present both high-end purses and fast-fashion options because we know not everyone has $1000+ to blow on one bag. We also know that not everyone’s love affair with purses begin with designer handbags. Women usually start to appreciate handbags when they are young, as students. And we all know how tight money can be as a student.
Here’s one handbag that we think is perfect for students:
Vans Weaver Bag
Vans Weaver Bag in Enamel Blue
The Vans Weaver Bag is only $48 from Zappos. The bag is not only affordable, it’s also very roomy so you can dump everything you need in the bag, including a small laptop, your mobile phone, car keys, and wallet. Not bad for a handbag that retails for less than $50.
It may not be a designer bag, but this bag has received good reviews in Zappos. The catch is, the bag is not really a woven purse; it only has a weave design in the front and the back. It’s also very affordable because it is made of soft faux leather.

Bohemian dressing never really goes out of style, but they are most perfect for the care-free days of summer. If you’re going on a little outing, a picnic, the flea market, or an outdoor festival, here is a pretty bag that you can carry:
Wayuu Taya Bucket Bag
It’s a bucket bag from Wayuu Taya that we found in Revolve Clothing. When you buy Wayuu Taya bags, you are not only buying a fashion piece, you are also helping the women of the indigenous group Wayuu.
Wayuu Taya Foundation, the non-profit organization that runs the bag-making program, runs a center that helps educate Latin American indigenous women on parenting, nutrition, family planning, and hygiene. A big percentage of the purchase cost of each bag goes back to the program and the indigenous women who make the bags.
Each piece of Wayuu bag is hand-woven and one-of-a-kind. It is the kind of bag that you can expect to last long because of the amount of time it takes to produce each bag. If you want the Wayuu Taya bag in other colors, you can check out the selection from Shopbop.
