Prada Madras Bags

The Prada Fall Winter 2011 collection is now available in Saks Fifth Avenue. Included in the collection are the Prada Madras purses that are coveted by celebrities and bag lovers.

It may not be a designer bag, but this bag has received good reviews in Zappos. The catch is, the bag is not really a woven purse; it only has a weave design in the front and the back.  It’s also very affordable because it is made of soft faux leather.

Wayuu Taya Foundation, the non-profit organization that runs the bag-making program, runs a center that helps educate Latin American indigenous women on parenting, nutrition, family planning, and hygiene. A big percentage of the purchase cost of each bag goes back to the program and the indigenous women who make the bags.
