Sara Jones Carries a Woven Clutch

Sarah Jones attended the exclusive Bon Jovi concert at Star City in Sydney, Australia on December 15, 2010, looking ready for a night of fun. Check her out:

Sarah, pictured here with Mark Bosnich, arrived for the event in an ensemble that consisted mostly of black, save for a lively floral corset top—black blazer, black pencil skirt, and black suede cut-out boots. She finished her look with a black patent leather woven clutch.

Sarah does look nice and lovely, even if her look bordered on the safe side. I mean, you couldn’t really go wrong with black, right? I like how she donned the floral top to add that pop of color to her look. But since, we’re here for her purse, let’s get on to that. Here’s Sarah’s woven clutch in detail:

So what can you say with Sarah’s woven clutch? It’s black, but it isn’t really the basic black since it’s woven. The woven element gave the clutch an edge, and added texture to Sarah’s lovely look.

Like Sarah’s woven clutch? Take a look at these fab look-alikes:

Malin Akerman’s Dolce & Gabbana Satchel Lassie Sicily

I assume you’re familiar with Malin Akerman–if not by name, then probably by face. Malin’s sweet face had graced quite a number of famous Hollywood Films, including 27 Dresses and last year’s Couples Retreat. Also, she’s the girl who played Ryan Reynold’s ex-girlfriend in The Proposal. Do you remember her now? If not still, then this image of her might just remind you:

Much as I love giving you more tidbits about Malin Akerman, we’re really not here for that. We’d rather be talking now about woven purses–Malin Akerman’s Dolce & Gabbana Satchel Lassie Sicily purse, in particular: Take a good look:

Here’s the store photo:

Notice something? Yes, it’s crochet! And it’s actually not the first time that this satchel’s been out and about in public. Earlier this year, several stars have totted the Dolce & Gabbana Satchel Lassie Sicily. Take a look:

Victoria Beckham looks posh with it, while Ashley Greene’s version added a chic element to her cool downtown look. As for Madonna, the bag definitely gave her appearance a glamorous boost.

So do you like the Dolce & Gabbana Satchel Lassie Sicily? It’s quite easy to warm up to this trendy crochet purse. It has a long strap and a handle that makes it versatile to be carried on the shoulder or on the crook of your arm. Plus, it’s crochet element makes it quite lovable. Well, it won’t be last spring’s must-have bag for nothing. But, I can’t say the same thing with it’s price. It’s currently not available anywhere, but it was last retailed for $1,695.00. Farfetch.com says it’s out of stock, so even if you’re well able to buy it, you’d have to wait for stocks to arrive. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t.

If you’d rather have your own crochet purses now and at a fraction of the  Dolce & Gabbana Satchel Lassie Sicily’s price, then take a look at these adorable woven purses from Endless.com:

Straw Studios Zl86013 Hobo, $31.35

Dan W Woven Snake-Print Satchel, $225.00

ECHO Woven Shopper, $26.40-$48.00

High Fashion Two-Tone Woven Satchel, $151.25

We Love Olivia Palermo’s Eclectic Style

Today we’re featuring Olivia Palermo simply because we love this lady’s taste in fashion. We love how she mixes pieces together, always unexpected and yet always chic. The socialite and “The City” star was spotted at the front row of Tibi’s Spring 2011 presentation the other week looking like this:

Olivia Palermo at the Tibi Spring 2011 Fashion Show, September 14

What do you think? Don’t you just love her eclectic style? Who’d have thought that suede (boots), embroidery (navy dress), and a tan embossed croc (clutch) could look good together?

The dress is by Tibi and the boots are by Proenza Schouler. You can buy the dress at Shopbop and the boots from Zappos or MyTheresa. As for the purse, it’s an Hermes clutch; and we all know THAT one is not only hard to find but also very expensive, probably even more expensive than the dress and the shoes. If you can afford it, feel free to visit the Hermes boutique in your area.

Tibi Byzantine Embroidery Dress, US$690 (Shopbop); Proenza Schouler Suede Boots, US$799 (Zappos)

Or, you can simply just grab the look for a lot less with the following:

Gryphon Mercury Embroidered Silk Dress, US$234 (was US$390 at Norsdtrom); GUESS Owens Ankle Boots, US$139 (Endless)

And instead of a tan croc embossed clutch, go for a woven purse to achieve that texture. Try this one from Dan W:

Dan W Snake Print Woven Clutch, US$94 (was US$170 at Endless.com)
