We just found a woven bag in an unexpected place- Irv’s Luggage.

We weren’t really looking for a woven bag, but we were checking out the bag selections in the store because of the current site-wide sale when we found this nice woven purse:

What’s surprising is that this beautiful bag is made of seat belt material! This makes the bag very durable.

The circular acrylic handles of the bag make the bag easy to carry by the crook of one’s arm. The bag also has a detachable shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry around on errands or when traveling. The strap can be attached to the D-rings on the sides of the bag or you can use the D-rings for accessories.

The bag has four internal pockets so you can organize your items inside. The bag is fully-lined with black monogram prints.

The bag is selling for $128. It’s not cheap, but the bag comes with a lifetime warranty.

I thought it would be interesting to post this article for the woven bag junkie, or to anyone who enjoys buying and wearing woven bags at least. There is always a woven handbag you can use for every occasion, no matter what that may be. You don’t need to limit wearing the woven purse to casual or work activities, you can stretch it to a night out or to a red carpet event. I found this picture of Reese Witherspoon with then boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal and thought how interesting it was to see a multicolored woven bag released seasons ago. Such a piece would have been a perfect accessory this spring.

I’m sure these two Lanvin purses cost a fortune. In fact, the satin purse alone went for over US$2000++ when it was released.
