I was browsing over Fashion Week photos and came across this picture of Sophia Bush. This was taken when she attended the Diane Von Furstenberg show last February 14:

The bag immediately caught my eye. Quite an enticing piece to look at; very rich in texture and multi-dimensional, the kind that would make you want to run your fingers through its surface.

I found out that this is the Stephanie Hobo from Diane Von Furstenberg’s Spring Collection.

From afar, the bag looks like it is made of a series of small metal chains put together to create a piece of accessory. However, up close it is a whole different story.

What is even more interesting to note is that the material is not metal as you would initially perceive, but metallic leather woven in a chain link manner to create the appearance of such instead.

The technique  is truly fascinating, and if I am not mistaken, relatively new as it is the first I have seen so far. Let’s give Diane Von Furstenberg some credit for coming  up with such an innovative piece. It is like seeing her designing the wrap dress all over again!

The Stephanie Hobo comes in other colors – Metallic Star, Sunset Metallic, and Ocean Metallic:

Reese Witherspoon and Her Rebecca Minkoff Clutch

Apparently, Bottega Veneta is not the only bag brand Reese Witherspoon loves to wear, check out these photos of her toting the classic black Rebecca Minkoff Clutch.

Want the Rebecca Minkoff Clutch? And before you start asking, yup, it’s a two-way, the chain strap is removable.

Why not get its latest variant instead? It’s called the Rebecca Minkoff Basket Weave Clutch and it is trimmed with woven leather.

I like this fresh take on the bag – the mixing of textures. You can tell Rebecca Minkoff (the designer) really put some attention into detailing this bag.

The treatment is the first I’ve seen from this perennial Minkoff item. Usually, she just changes the material used for the bag’s body. I am guessing the new dive could be attributed to the woven trend that is up for spring. Either way, it’s good to see her innovate.

If you want something even smaller, you can go for the Rebecca Minkoff Basket Weave Mini Mini Bag.

If both options are too small for you, go for the Morning After Bag instead.
